Kimberly has worked primarily as a hairstylist and nail technician for the past 18 years. Among her talents as a hairstylist Kimberly is a master colorist and accomplished nail technician. She specializes in bringing out her clients inner beauty by capitalizing on their strengths.Kimberly owned her own salon for almost 10 years before making a permanent change to booth rental at Attaviano Salon and Spa in Leominster Massachusetts.
Kimberly Sherman-Cook (former owner of Avalon) graduated from Rob Roy Academy in 1996 and has more than 18 years of experience in the beauty industry. What really sets Kimberly apart is her ability to help clients rejuvenate their mind, body and spirit by really listening to her client’s needs. Services with her are just the right balance of fun and relaxation. Kimberly understands all too well that clients want to look great when they leave but they also want to feel great too. Over the years Kimberly been known not only as a stylist but also a presenter and educator for Joico International; during which time she worked to provide local salons with education in the newest trends in color and hair fashion. She also worked closely as a member of Joico’s artistic team to create the hair fashions displayed by models during trade shows in Boston, New York and Virginia. Since education is very important to Kimberly even after leaving the artistic team to open her salon in 2004 Kimberly made it a point to keep current on the latest hair and nail fashions each season. Kimberly is a Master Stylist & Color Specialist as well as a Nail Technician. Some of her talents include: creative hair design, certifiably organic coloring, permanent waving, chemical straightening, special event specialist, artificial nails, gel polish (i.e. Shellac, Axxium), colored acrylic, and specialty all natural spa pedicures and eyebrow and lip waxing.
Her move was spawned by the birth of her first child and her desire to complete her degree in Elmentary Education. Kimberly also wanted to be able to devote more time to teaching, writing and speaking publically about the modern witchcraft movement. In addition to being a mother and wife Kimberly is also a crafter, photographer and an artist.
As a writer and minister Kimberly strives to bring the knowledge of Witchcraft to others in a tangible and self-empowering way. She is the author of the book In the Shadow of 13 Moon’s, a book that focuses on self-evolution and transformation through facing the shadow-self. In her time as a healer and teacher she has lead rituals, rites of passage, taught about the many aspects of healing as well as formed and headed her own spiritual group. In addition Kimberly helped to found the Pagan Education Network in 2005. In 2006 PEN became a legally recognized 501(c)3. PEN was developed to focus on educating those looking for teaching and training in the ways of paganism, self-empowerment, and personal healing.
In 2011 after becoming a mother Kimberly stepped away from many of her duties in order to focus on the changes her life was undergoing. I am happy say after two years of intense changes and adjustments she has returned to public service.
